just another day

ok, here I am finishing up my day by looking over my email and getting the things ready for the next week.  This is going to be another busy week ahead of me.

The kids did a great job this week in getting their school work done. They were motivated by NANOWRIMO a writing program that encourages them to write a story each November to the count of 50,000 words.  Grace has been doing this for a few years and Andrew is on his 2nd year.  He is able to write fewer words by setting his own goal.  They both look forward to doing this each year.

The next week is filled with a different work schedule for me and activities that we don't normally have to do.  Soccer games, baby showers, teen activities, work skills day, and Charity's birthday too! :)  She is going to be 8 years old!!!  What happens to the time????  Oh my, this has gone by so quickly!  It has been a rough 8 years in many aspects, but she has been so sweet.  I enjoy each of my children, and it seems that at the time of their birthdays, I spend a lot more time appreciating all that they have brought to my life.  She is not any different from the others!  She has brought tenderness and compassion that just bleeds from her veins!  Even from the time she was a baby, she has shown concern for others.  While I was nursing her in the nursery at church one Sunday morning, she heard another baby crying and stopped eating to see what the problem was.  She hasn't changed either.  :)  She reminds me of myself when I was a little girl in many ways.  She still doesn't like to watch movies because she gets too scared and cries.  She doesn't like to be away from home and the family.  I remember crying at sleep-overs so much that my mom needed to come and get me too. I sucked my thumbs until I was in 2nd grade......thanks to getting the piano. :) We are still working on her fingers.....she will stop. :)  But, she still makes me smile at the funny things that she does.  She likes to laugh and sneak in my bed in the morning after I get up.....she loves the warm bed! :)  Then she likes to pop out and surprise me!  She loves the tickles and giggles like the best girls!! :) Well, I just love this little girl, and I see that she is growing up just like the rest of the kids did and are doing! I love them all!!!  I miss the older boys, but they are all busy with the things that God has called them to.  The love never stops though!!

ok, off to bed.  Talk more later.
